Zachary Divelbiss
Founder & Criminal Defense and Criminal Record Removal Lawyer
Future First Criminal Law
Zachary Divelbiss | Bar #033949
Zach built Future First Criminal Law around one simple truth: a five-minute mistake should not define a person’s entire future.
He knows this truth because he lived it. Early in his life, Zach faced multiple arrests, convictions, and a trial. Those moments, and the criminal record that followed, could have permanently limited his opportunities if others had judged him only by what appeared on paper. Instead, someone believed in him. That second chance changed everything. It reshaped how he sees people, the justice system, and the lifelong impact a criminal record can have long after a case is closed.
That experience became the foundation of his purpose. It taught him that people are more than their worst moment, and that true justice means helping someone move forward, not trapping them in their past. It is what pushed him into criminal defense and ultimately into building Future First Criminal Law.
Zach did not want to join a traditional law firm. He wanted to build something different. A firm where clients feel safe, understood, and supported from the first phone call through resolution and beyond. While other firms focus on files and deadlines, Future First focuses on people, second chances, and protecting futures long after court is over.

Helping Clients Move Forward
As a leader, Zach intentionally built a team that shares his values: compassion, responsiveness, accountability, and genuine care. He encourages innovation, transparency, and open communication, knowing that clear systems and honest conversations are essential when clients are trusting the firm with their future and their record.
He created a culture grounded in dignity and relentless advocacy. A culture where clients receive constant updates, honest guidance, and real explanations. A culture where every team member is empowered to step in, answer questions, reduce fear, and help clients understand not only their case, but how it affects their life moving forward.
“Future First” is not a slogan. It is the mission behind every strategy Zach builds. His work is centered on protecting a client’s career, housing, education, reputation, and long-term opportunities. He defends the person, not the allegation, and he cares deeply about what happens after the case ends. Clearing, sealing, or reducing the impact of a criminal record is often the difference between someone staying stuck and someone finally being able to move on.
Clients trust Zach because he listens without judgment, tells the truth without sugarcoating, and fights with preparation and purpose. Behind the scenes, he works relentlessly. He digs through evidence, identifies leverage points, builds strong mitigation, and develops strategies that do not just resolve cases, but position clients for record relief and a better future.
