Brielle

Lead Criminal Defense & Criminal Record Removal Lawyer

Future First Criminal Law

Brielle Schumpe | Bar #039767

Brielle became a lawyer to stand with people when they feel powerless, and to help them reclaim a future. Her commitment took shape in law school, where she worked directly with clients through the Arizona Justice Project and the Public Defender’s Office. There, she saw how quickly one accusation, one conviction, or one five-minute mistake could follow someone for years. She witnessed how a criminal record can quietly dismantle careers, housing opportunities, education, and personal stability long after a case ends.

She chose to become the lawyer who brings clarity into chaos, relief into moments that feel irreversible, and real solutions for people trying to move forward. Her dedication earned her the Gideon Fellowship at ASU Law, one of the most competitive honors in the state for students committed to criminal defense and post-conviction work.Through the fellowship, she gained hands-on experience across the full spectrum of indigent defense, including felony trial work, real client representation, post-conviction solutions, and federal habeas litigation.

Those experiences shaped her into a lawyer who is both strategic and relentless. She knows how to navigate the courtroom with confidence while also focusing on what happens after the case closes. She understands that for many clients, the true battle begins once the conviction is behind them.

At Future First Criminal Law, Brielle’s philosophy aligns seamlessly with the firm’s mission. She believes people are far more than the worst five minutes of their life. She believes her role extends beyond defending charges, to actively helping clients clear, reduce, or seal their criminal record so they can rebuild without permanent barriers.

Helping Clients Move Forward

Clients connect with her because she balances calm presence with decisive action. She listens carefully, communicates clearly, and never makes anyone feel judged or dismissed. Clients often say that after one conversation, they finally feel hope again, because someone is looking beyond the case file and focusing on what comes next. In court, she is prepared, assertive, and unshakable. She presents cases with respect and precision, always highlighting the human reality behind the paperwork. She believes that much of her most impactful work happens outside the courtroom, where she focuses heavily on mitigation, record-based strategy, and long-term outcomes.

Behind the scenes, she spends extensive time uncovering the details that matter most for record relief. Employment history, rehabilitation efforts, education, family responsibilities, and personal growth. These details often change how judges and prosecutors view a client’s past and can open the door to dismissals, set aside, or sealed records that others never pursue. To Brielle, putting someone’s future first means protecting what happens after the case is over. It means safeguarding employment, housing, education, professional licenses, reputation, and peace of mind. A favorable outcome is incomplete if the record still follows the client everywhere they go.

Outside the courtroom, she enjoys exercising, crafting, cooking, traveling, and spending time with her dog, friends, and family. She lives by a guiding belief that defines both her personal life and legal practice: grace and accountability can coexist.

At Future First Criminal Law, Brielle brings skill, compassion, and resolve to every client she represents. She hopes clients remember her not only as their lawyer, but as someone who believed in their growth, stood with them through the hardest moments, and fought relentlessly to give them a future not defined by their past.
